Join Nomad Girls Club for a special candle-making experience in collaboration with Niamh Lisbon

This 90-minute soy candle-making workshop is a warm, mindful experience designed to help you slow down, get creative, and enjoy time beautifully spent — while connecting with other women from the NGC community.

On arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of something lovely and a short introduction to the session.

You’ll then choose your preferred fragrance oil and hand-pour your very own soy wax candle, with gentle, step-by-step guidance throughout.

What to expect

Once your candle has been poured, it will need around 35–45 minutes to set. This is your time to unwind and enjoy:

Personalising your candle label
Connecting with fellow NGC attendees
A refreshment top-up
Browsing the shelves with an exclusive 10% workshop discount

Once your candle has set, you’ll trim the wick, box it up, and take your creation home with you.

Taking Your Candle Home

As we’ll be working with natural soy wax, setting times can vary — particularly during Lisbon’s warmer months. If your candle needs a little longer, you’re welcome to leave it to set fully and collect it later. If you’re visiting Lisbon, a drop-off to a local address or hotel can also be arranged.

A Note on Curing Your candle will need 7–10 days to cure before its first burn, allowing the wax and fragrance to fully settle for the best scent and burn quality. Good things take time.

A Few Things to Know The workshop is hosted in English and is open to all levels — no candle-making experience needed.

Simply come as you are, meet some lovely women, and enjoy the process. Open to guests aged 16+.

FAQ

1. Can I come alone?
Absolutely. Most girls come alone, and that’s exactly why NGC exists. You’ll be welcomed from the moment you arrive.

2. I’m new / introverted / shy — is this for me?
Yes Our events are designed to feel cozy, not overwhelming. There’s no pressure to be “on” or to talk nonstop—connections happen naturally.

3. Do I need to know anyone beforehand?
Not at all. Many attendees are meeting for the first time, and the space is curated to make that feel easy and natural. However, the more that you come to our events, the more people you will meet again!

4. What’s the age range?
NGC events are open to women of different ages, backgrounds, and experiences. What connects us is the desire for genuine connection.
